Surrounded by water on three sides, the Great Lodge houses four categories of rooms, all extremely well appointed and all with water views: The Granite Suite, Fireplace Junior Suites, Acadian Junior Suite, and Deluxe Junior Suites (which have either a single queen or two double beds). Each guest suite has its own name and special character, like the Tusket Junior Suite with a hand cut black granite fireplace and French door leading to a balcony overlooking the Tusket River. We also rent Black Bear Cottage (2 bedroom house on East Meadow Lake) and the new Cub Cottage (1 king bedroom cottage). River Bend Lodge has 3 rooms and one suite that can be rented either individually or as a whole for groups. Trout Point has earned 4.5 stars from
Canada Select
, a national rating agency. (4 Stars: Exceptional accommodations with an extensive range of facilities, guest amenities and services. Half stars are awarded to properties whose overall quality of facilities exceeds their specific category star rating.) In addition, the Great Lodge is a member of the Five Star Alliance,
has a 3 Diamond Award from AAA, a star rating from Frommer's Guides, and is a Nature & Kind Trusted Partner.

The Great Lodge
An architectural master piece made from giant Eastern Spruce logs, chiseled granite and sandstone, with full scribe notch and dovetail joinery, Trout Point's owners built the Lodge in celebration of the Great Camps erected along the U.S. & Canadian Eastern Seaboard in the early 20th century. This three-story structure houses guest facilities, the Great Room, mezzanine library, dining room, kitchen, two bars, and recreational facilities on the banks of the Tusket River. Replete with mica and Tiffany lamps, oriental rugs, log furniture, and extensive indoor and outdoor public areas, Trout Point is the ideal nature retreat. All of our spacious guest suites feature broad river views and full amenities. Many have hand-cut stone fireplaces and porches or patios, as do the Great Room and The Dining Room.
The Great Lodge has eight junior suites and one full suite, all with full bath, local Acadian-made log & twig furniture including sofas or love seats, one queen or two double beds, handmade rugs, handcrafted log walls and beam ceilings, & original artwork. All rooms have river views & many have wood burning fireplaces or stoves. Decor includes Italian tile bathrooms, hand-knit rugs, & rustic wood floors. Each room provides a writing desk and Bose CD/radios, but does not have television or telephones.* A handicapped equipped & accessible room is available. The Great Room, porches, patios, decks, breezeways, & mezzanine library provide space for relaxing & enjoying the pristine woods, wildlife, & water surrounding you. *Telephone service is available via the front desk.
At Trout Point, guests also have the option of staying at the River Bend Lodge , a large chalet with four guest rooms, including the River Bend Suite with a fireplace and private deck.
"We spent barely 12 hours--in a heavenly spot--a remarkable creation to uplift spirits and download appetites!
All praise" BLC, Westport, Connecticut
The River Bend Lodge has its own Great Room with fireplace and deck overlooking the Tusket River, upstream from the Great Lodge. It also has a boardwalk to the River. The entire River Bend Lodge facility is perfect for groups, including use of the kitchen.
Another option is Black Bear Cottage, a spacious house with two bedrooms, living room with fireplace, full kitchen, sun porch, and deck on East Meadow Lake. One bedroom has two double beds, and one has a single queen bed, both with their own bathrooms. Black Bear Cottage is perfect for families. Finally, charming and romantic Cub Cottage has a lovely upstairs bedroom with a hand-carved king bed, bathroom with air-jet tub, and downstairs a living room with sofabed and full kitchen. The cottage tariffs do not include daily housekeeping. ation house rentals, please visit the "House Rentals" link to the left.
