The
Fireplace Junior Suites
count among the most favored rooms: spacious, with hand cut granite forming wood-burning fireplaces, massive log walls, leather chairs before the fireplace, and a French door leading to a porch & sitting area overlooking the Tusket River.
The most spacious accommodation in the main lodge is the
Granite Suite
, with comfy sofa & armchair before a red sandstone fireplace, black slate floors, carpets, sitting room, and ample bathroom with an air-jet tub & hand-held shower. The
Treehouse Junior Suites
have a cozy feel with their Jotul wood stoves, natural wool carpet, and lots of windows.
Other Nova Scotia accommodation options include
Black Bear Cottage
(2 bedroom house on East Meadow Lake) and
Cub Cottage
(romantic, king 1 bedroom cottage). Black Bear Cottage features a wood-burning fireplace, leather sofa, sun porch, deck, WiFi, and flat screen satellite TV. Cub Cottage has a romantic hand-carved king bed, balcony, decks, screened porch, satellite TV, WiFi, and an air-jet tub. Both have full kitchens and living rooms.

| The Forest Suite |
A short walk from the main lodge finds the Island Meadow Room and The Forest Suite tucked away in a chalet along the banks of the Tusket River. The Forest Suite is Trout Point's most spacious room option (1,800 sq. ft.), a fantastic river-view living room with 35' cathedral ceiling, satellite TV, sofas, deck, wood-burning fireplace framed in hand-hewn sandstone, and full kitchen alongside a bedroom with a queen bed, fireplace, balcony, and ample bathroom with separate tub & shower, twin sinks. The Island Meadow room has 2 double beds, full ensuite bath featuring tumbled marble, and French doors leading outside to a sitting area, with river views.

PRIVACY & TROUT POINT LODGE
In an age when every cell phone and digital device has a camera, when anonymous libel runs rampant, each day's events are texted or tweeted, and many routinely even dine with an electronic device as their companion, Trout Point Lodge tries to remain an antidote to and respite from such commercial culture. To maintain an idyllic and secure environment of privacy and seclusion, Trout Point Lodge, Limited (TPL) asks that all guests agree to its privacy policy with regards to publications. This policy is intended as a positive measure to both provide for our guests' ability to seek rest & relaxation and to protect both the Lodge and its guests from online attacks and defamation from anonymous sources so common in the Internet 2.0 age.
"In exchange and consideration for TPL protecting the privacy of TPL guests from unwanted publicity while on the property, guests at the Lodge agree to the following: that all publications-- writings, photos, & video--via the internet or in any other form, whose subject is the result of a stay or other experience with TPL is the exclusive intellectual property of TPL, and that prior written permission to publish or post is required and shall be sought before publishing TPL-themed materials; failure to do so is actionable in a Nova Scotia court of law for breach of contract and copyright infringement; damages will be assumed at a minimum of $3000.00. The undersigned grant TPL exclusive right to request the removal of any materials from any place where undersigned have/has published or posted TPL-themed materials including travel review sites and blogs. The above surrender does not apply to mainstream print or broadcast media as defined by the Nova Scotia Defamation Act, as amended, whether or not they may also have a virtual component."
The room-only tariff includes accommodation and access to all recreational facilities. Meals at the Dining Room restaurant may be purchased on a pro rata basis by reserving space the day prior to the day of the desired meal service. You may then attend breakfast, lunch, or dinner seatings on the day reserved. There are restaurants and dining options in Yarmouth (35 minute drive) and Shelburne (45 minute drive). Dinner can also be upgraded to restaurant Chez la Tousquet for an additional $25/person.
Pets are allowed in some rooms and in the cottages, please inquire.
Guests are encouraged to reserve either the Full Board (3 meals: $205/couple) of Half Board (breakfast and dinner: $172/couple) options. The Dining Room and Chez la Tousquet only accept guests by reservation.
Check-in time is 3 p.m., though we will always make earlier arrivals comfortable and store any luggage. Check-out is by noon.
