Vacation House & Cottage Rentals at Trout Point Lodge, Nova Scotia

Privately-owned vacation houses are available for rental from Trout Point Lodge. These houses lie off the Trout Point Road near the Great Lodge, all are on the water—either East Meadow Lake or the Tusket River--and have their own kitchen facilities. Those arranging their rentals through Trout Point Lodge have access to all Lodge facilities including public areas, boats, mountain bikes, and the wood-fired hot tub. Meals at the Dining Room are by reservation only. All billing occurs through the Lodge's front desk, and the reservation and cancellation policy is the same as for the Lodge. Daily maid service is not provided, though all houses are cleaned before and after each rental. Maid service can be purchased. The houses are not stocked with food, coffee, tea, or other drinks, though they do have cooking utensils, flatware, and dishes. A washer/dryer is available in each house. Driving from each house to the Great Lodge is easy.

The Black Bear Cottage is a spacious two-bedroom house with one 2^nd story master bedroom with a queen bed and adjacent full bathroom, a second ground floor bedroom with two double beds and adjacent bathroom, a full kitchen, and a cathedral ceilinged living room overlooking East Meadow Lake, about a ten minute walk from the Great Lodge. This cedar-shingled cottage also has an enclosed porch, deck, and a fireplace. There is a sofabed in the living room. The daily rental for four persons is U.S. $220 (low season) and US $270.00 (high season), with a $60 additional charge per adult. The River Bend Lodge is a large, chalet style house with four double- to quadruple-occupancy bedrooms and four and a half baths. It was completed in 2002. The Lodge overlooks a beautiful portion of the Tusket River, and features a large deck, fireplace, kitchen, and spacious Great Room with fireplace and cathedral ceilings. The daily rental for up to eight persons is U.S. $365.00 (low season) and US $450 (high season), with a $60 additional charge per adult. The house can sleep up to fourteen people. River Bend also received a 4.5 star rating from Canada Select.
